Up to now, Rob Bell has only helped push my relationship with God to be deeper and more real. He has provoked my thoughts in just the right way to allow me to seek out who God truly is. Not who I believe he is. Not what people say about him. Not even what he does. But what his heart is like.
Therefore strengthen your tired hands and weakened knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed instead.
— Hebrews 12:12-13
For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the promise of the oath, which came after the law, [appoints] a Son, who has been perfected forever.
— Hebrews 7:28
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.
Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.
— Hebrews 4:15-16
I need this in my life, right now. Listen to the beauty.
[I pray] that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. [I pray] that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth [of God’s love], and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
— (Ephesians 3:16-19)
[I pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. [I pray] that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength
— I pray this for us all. (Ephesians 1 17-19)
